Lebanon’s Hezbollah has claimed an attack on an Israeli Merkava tank near the town of Houla in southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh region.
Earlier, Hezbollah chief Naim Qassem vowed to make the battlefield “hell” for Israeli forces.
“We are facing an Israeli-American aggression that wants to subjugate our country of Lebanon,” he said in a statement.
“We will not surrender and we will continue to defend Lebanon and its people – however long it takes and however great the sacrifices.”
